Humanabad: A fire broke out on Bheema Reddy’s farm due to an electrical malfunction, resulting in the devastation of approximately 10 acres of sugarcane.
Bheema Reddy, a farmer, raised concerns about the electric wires in their field that were hanging close to the ground, causing damage to the sugarcane crop. Despite their repeated appeals to GESCOM officials to relocate the power lines away from the field, their requests were unheeded.
Consequently, a substantial loss of Rs 15 lakh worth of sugarcane grown on a 10-acre plot has been incurred. A formal case regarding this incident has been registered at the Hallikhed B. police station.
