Hassan: The family members of Muthuganne Village have alleged that other village people are trying to grab the land in Survey Number 7 by using fake documents and usurping the land.
Basavaraj, son of Siddaiah, a resident of Muthuganne Village in the Taluk of the District, owns 22 guntas of land in Survey No. 7 and a man named Chandrashekhar of Bennur Village is planning to encroach upon his elder brother’s land by encroaching on the adjoining land. At the same time, Basavaraj and his wife Jayamma said that this is an ancestral property and after the death of our father, the land is in our name and even though it has all the documents and we have title deeds of the land, a person who is not from our village is encroaching upon the land illegally and harassing us and threatening to kill us.
Son Yogesh said, “Since the time of our grandparents, the land has been retained and since there was no water during Covid, the elder brother of Chandrashekhar by name one Jawayya had taken the land from us to plant ginger. After that, we used to make a living by saving our land, but nowadays Chandrashekhar has brought some people and demolished the shed we had put up for the cattle and assaulted our parents.
A complaint has been lodged at the Police Station in this regard. Similarly, we have applied for our land podi with complete documents of our ancestral property, pani, title deeds, etc., he said.
He had filed a complaint in the Court with the intention of creating false records about our land and disturb us. In order to disturb us as we got justice there, my sister was assaulted while she and parents were working, he rued.
