Shivamogga: The schemes launched by Former Chief Minister Yediyurappa will last as long as the sun and the moon are there. Bangarappa’s service and social justice cannot be forgotten. The tenants have got the land because of the struggle of the people of this area. It was Yediyurappa who took out a padayatra for the rights of tenants. It was Bangarappa who made the Backward Classes aware in the State. Bangarappa did not believe in any one party and did politics. That is why Bangarappa’s fans are found in all parts of the State,” said Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai.
Speaking at the Jan Sankalp Yatra at Anavatti, he praised Bangarappa saying that Devaraj Urs and S. Bangarappa became the kings of backward classes people’s hearts.
He said, “the backward are now awakened again. They have decided to support those who stand by them. Yediyurappa has worked hard for the development of Shivamogga District. Therefore, the people of Shivamogga District should stand by Yediyurappa in the upcoming elections. Kumar Bangarappa has got a lot of projects sanctioned for his constituency through Yediyurappa,” he said.
