Shivamogga: Former Minister K. S. Eshwarappa clarified that he had hoped to get a ministerial berth but now he is not desirous of it anymore.

Speaking to mediapersons, he said the Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai may continue his efforts to make a Minister. But as I was tainted by the allegations against me, I too wanted to get a ministerial berth. Now I am not desirous of the berth, he said.

However, he made it clear that he was ready to accept a ministerial berth if it comes to him.

When asked whether sitting MLAs are being given tickets for the polls this time, he said, “I don’t know what the BJP High Command will do. But we are going to fight the elections through a fair strategy,” he said.

“BJP will fight the elections this time with various tactics and we are confident of getting a Guinness record result. This time, the elections will be held in the State and leaders like Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Amit Shah, J. P. Nadda and others will visit the State till the end of the election campaign,” he said.
