Chamarajanagara: Congress Leader H. M. Ganeshprasad said that the party has started planning and working from now on to strengthen the party at the booth level.
He was speaking at a booth-level meeting of the Congress party held at Bananthi Maramma Temple in Bheemanabeedu Village of Gundlupete Taluk in the District, he appealed to the party workers at the booth level to put aside resentment and strengthen the hands of the Congress in the upcoming Assembly elections by remaining united. Many villages in the Constituency, including the Taluk, have witnessed stunted development. All communities are being sidelined and only one community is being appeased, he noted.
“The BJP has not given any status to the Uppara community. Important positions have been confined to a single community ignoring many other backward communities. Local MLAs have been claiming that Rs. 2.5 Crore has been given to the Lingayat Community Bhavana. If this is the case, then why have the other communities not been given grants?,” he asked.
