Chamarajnagara: In a shocking incident, a 12-year-old girl became pregnant in the village of Gundlupet Taluk. The girl is reportedly three months pregnant and is kept in Bala Mandir.
The girl claimed that her uncle’s friend made her pregnant. Later, she started crying and investigators realised that she had been keeping quiet out of fear, anxiety, and stress.
The family members were interrogated by the police and the women and child welfare officials lodged a complaint with the Chamarajanagara Women’s Police station. The victim girl is undergoing counselling.
It is said that the Asha worker found the girl’s pregnancy while visiting the village. Police registered a case and further investigation is on.
