Mysuru: Harish Gowda, an accused in the Karnataka Housing Board (KHB) scam moved an anticipatory bail application in the III additional sessions court in the city to evade arrest.
The Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) team led by DySP Dr. H T Shekar had nabbed five men linked to the scam including two government officials recently. However, all five were subsequent released on bail.
Among the 41 absconding, 15 have filed bail application in the court including former KHB Chairman and MLA GT Devegowda’s son , Harish Gowda. . In total, 46 people have been listed as accused in the scam with Harish Gowda listed as accused number 45.
The ACB is presently dealing with the case after Lokayukta handed it over following state government’s nod.
