Mysuru: District In-Charge Minister S. T. Somashekar said that the entire District has been receiving good rains and as such, I have advised the concerned officials to be on their toes to avoid rain damages.
Speaking to mediapersons here on Tuesday July 5 he said that farming activities will start anytime now. Agriculture Minister B. C. Patil will be talking to officials to issue guidelines to farmers.
Reacting to the arrest of ADGP Amrit Paul in the PSI recruitment scam, he said, “I want to congratulate Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai for initiating action. We can’t be playing with the lives of unemployed youth. Our Government is committed to putting an end to corruption. All the investigating agencies have been given a free hand. All the guilty officials will face the music.”
The minis6ter said, “Two higher officials have been taken into custody. Bommai wants to punish all those who are in the scam. The arrest is no embarrassment to the State BJP Government as alleged by the opposition. In fact, it is we who ordered a probe into the whole scam. Whoever it is, big or small, will be punished according to the law.”
Somashekar said, “Congress is insisting on action against Home Minister Araga Jnanendra without any reason. So many scams went unnoticed when Congress was ruling the State.”
Reacting to the ACB raids on Congress MLA Zameer Ahmed Khan, the Minister said, “ED or ACB raid is nothing new. If Zameer is clean, he will come out unscathed. Instead of protesting, Congress should be advising him to cooperate with the probe agency.”
