Mysuru: Man dies of Dengue fever

Mysuru: A man has died of Dengue fever in Hunsuru Taluk.

The deceased Chandrasekhar (52) was a resident of Chennasoge Village in Hanagodu Hobli. Chandrasekhar had been suffering from fever for the past two days and was admitted to a private hospital in Mysuru on Tuesday November 8 for further treatment. However, the treatment failed and he died on the afternoon of Wednesday November 9.

He is survived by his wife and two sons. The last rites of the deceased were held on the evening of Wednesday November 9 at their farm. MLA H.P. Manjunath offered his last respects to the family members.

As many as 36 suspected cases of Dengue and seven cases of Chikungunya have been detected in the taluk. The Health Department staff and ASHA workers are keeping a close watch on the patients.
