Mangaluru: The renowned store ‘Prabhu Charumburi’ is a well-known establishment in Puttur. Its unique distinction as the sole shop without visitors in the area has contributed to its growing fame. This store has become a favorite gathering spot for many in the evenings. The festive Prabhu Charumburi event is about to kick off, scheduled from August 12th to the 15th. The Charumburi festival will run daily from 4 PM to 10 PM, featuring around fifteen enticing varieties of Charumburi to delight the attendees.

The charm of Charumburi’s History: The traditional methods and classic flavours of Charumburi that were once prepared in the past are being reintroduced to the current generation. Rajesh Prabhu, who has dedicated twenty-five years to the Charumburi business, introduced the concept of the Charumburi festival to Puttur. After initiating the Charumburi business in and around Bantwal, Rajesh Prabhu continued his trade in front of Sri Dharabhat’s Angadi for over a decade. For the past three years, he has operated the ‘Prabhu Charumburi’ shop at G.L. Center.

Having successfully organized a Charumburi festival before the pandemic, he gained substantial popularity. Now, the festival’s second edition is set to begin. Alongside Rajesh Prabhu, his associates, including Adarsha V., Mahesh, Deviprasad, Vanita, and Sumathi, are actively supporting the event.

Parking and Seating Arrangements: For attendees of this year’s Charumburi festival, convenient parking facilities have been arranged in front of the Prabhu Charumburi store at the Bantar Bhavana grounds. Adequate seating arrangements have also been made at G.L. Center in Malige.

The Inaugural: The official inauguration of the festival, which starts at 4 PM on August 12, will be held at 6:30 PM on the same day. Noted Tulu film actor Satish Bandale will inaugurate the Charumburi festival. Sudarshan Bhat, founder of the Bhat & Bhat YouTube channel, will be the chief guest at the event.

Dr Shivaram Bhat, who recently announced retirement, will be honoured at a ceremony hosted at Dr Shivaram Bhat Clinic’s premises.
