Dubai : The Eighth anniversary of Jesus Mary Joseph, the largest Konkani prayer group in St. Mary’s Church, Dubai was celebrated at the Church hall on November 1, Friday.
Group Advisor Lawrence D’Souza, JMJ Group’s Spiritual Director Fr. Frank Gomes and Jerina Lewis, the Main Coordinator of JMJ were on the dais.
Core Member Francis Menezes welcomed the gathering and spoke on the activities of the Prayer Group. Josly Pinto, a Core Member presented the annual report. JMJ Core member Roshan D’Souza proposed the vote of thanks.
A variety of cultural programmes including a welcome dance ‘Tuje Charani’ by kids and scintillating dance performances by Ocean Kids enthralled the audience. There was also a comedy skit ‘Mobile’ while Leonara D’Souza and Catherine D’Costa rendered Konkani and English songs.
The programme concluded with a sumptuous dinner.
