Dandeli, a beautiful green town in Karnataka’s Uttara Kannada district, is one of the most popular wildlife destinations in the Western Ghats. Dandeli’s stunning attractiveness is enhanced by the lush surroundings, panoramic splendour, and chirping birds. It is the natural habitat of Tigers, elephants, black panthers, and bears.
Among all of these, the mugger crocodiles (Indian crocodiles) in Crocodile Park, Dandeli, are the most exquisite. These are the region’s most important reptiles as well as a spectacular tourist attraction. The park is part of the Dandeli Wildlife Sanctuary, which has been recognised by the Indian Government.
Speaking to News Karnataka, Range Forest Officer Vinay Bhat informed that Dandeli Crocodile Park is a government-owned property. Dandeli Crocodile Park allows enjoying the unique experience of crocodile spotting. These crocodiles can be seen in the Wildlife Sanctuary’s River Kali. Crocodiles can be seen lazing in their natural habitat in the Kali River if one stands on the bank.
Summer or monsoon season is the ideal time to visit the park. The weather is relatively cool, and there is enough of lush foliage to add to the wonderful experience.
Dandeli Crocodile Park is the best dose of serenity and peace after escaping the hustle and bustle of city life. Visiting Dandeli Crocodile Park will undoubtedly be an unforgettable experience that will leave you with memories for the rest of your life.
