Kabul: The elder brother of Afghanistan`s ambassador to India, Shaida Mohammad Abdali, has been shot dead in Kandhar province, a media report said on Wednesday.
Sardar Mohammad Khan was killed on Monday in a mosque in Kandahar, the provincial governor`s spokesman, Samim Khpalwak, said.
Police were hunting for the gunmen who fled after the attack, Khpalwak said.
The Taliban did not immediately claim the attack, the latest in a series of killings targeting government officials, tribal elders and other prominent figures in Kandahar.
