Washington: US Secretary of State Antony Blinken will visit Japan on Monday July 11 to express his heartfelt condolences for the death of former Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, informed the State Department.
According to State Department spokesman Ned Price, Blinken, who was in Bangkok on Sunday, will “offer condolences to the Japanese people” in meetings with top officials in Tokyo.
Abe, who has been prime minister of Japan the longest, was shot on Friday while making a campaign tour.
