Mysuru: Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara Institute for Management Development (SDMIMD), Mysuru, in collaboration with Business Analytics Institute (BAI), France, organized the Winter School on ‘Artificial Intelligence (AI) for Good’ at SDMIMD campus recently. The programme was attended by company executives and students selected from various European Universities. Besides students from Belgium, Switzerland, France and Ukraine, ten Indian Students from SDMIMD were selected to attend the programme.
The programme centred on the theme of “AI for Good”, and entailed discussions on Ethical AI, AI for Social Good and a workshop on Machine Learning Tools. As part of this programme, the participants visited Dharmasthala and interacted with Dr D Veerendra Heggade, Dharmadhikari of Dharmasthala, about the Rural Development, Micro Finance, and Health Care Programmes of SDM Trust. The programme participants developed use cases for leveraging AI to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of Healthcare, Education and Rural Development. The resource persons for the programme included Dr Lee Schlenker and Prof. Davy Cielen from Business Analytics Institute, Prof. Christian Hitz from Zurich University and Prof. Mohamed Minhaj from SDMIMD, Mysuru.
SDMIMD student and faculty members from Heilbronn University, Germany, started today and go on till February 28, on the Student and Faculty Exchange Program between the two institutes.
