Gadag: Law Minister H.K. Patil has stated that a letter has been sent to the High Court Registrar requesting the relocation of the courts where SIT hearings are conducted on trial days to Guru Nanak Bhavan. He said this move aims to safeguard the privacy of complainants, aggrieved women, and witnesses involved in the Hassan sexual abuse case, said Patil.

Speaking to reporters on Thursday, Patil mentioned that the SIT is meticulously investigating the alleged scandal. A letter has been sent to temporarily shift the 42nd Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (ACMM) Court, the Special Court for Representatives of the People, the Civil Court, and the Sessions Judge Courts to Guru Nanak Bhavan in Bengaluru only on the days of hearing cases related to the investigation of Pen Drive cases.

Speaking on the recently concluded Lok Sabha election, HK Patil expressed confidence that Congress candidate from Haveri-Gadag Lok Sabha seat Anandswamy Gaddadevarmath will win the election at least by a lead of 1.50 lakh.

He said women who are the beneficiaries of the state government’s guarantee scheme exercised their rights in large numbers. The election result is also a referendum for the guarantee schemes launched by the Siddarmaiah government.
