Bengaluru: The police have arrested five persons, including a woman, for involving in a robbery. The police have recovered Rs 9,02,000 from the accused.
The police have identified the accused as Saleem Khan (32), Shumail Baig (23), Mohammed Baig (48), Thayyab Jahnara (48) and Sudarshan Kumar (49).
According to the police, the accused had contacted the complainant and entered into a deal to exchange old currency notes of Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 denomination with new currency notes. The accused advised the complainant to wait near Richmond Town. While the complainant was waiting with Rs 10,60,000 cash at Richmond Town, few of the accused came on a bike and robbed the complainant.
A case has been registered at Ashoknagar police station.
