Bengaluru: Raghaveshwara Bharati Swami, kept the CID as well as the medical team waiting at Victoria Hospital, as all of a sudden he decided to skip the test.
The seer wrote to the CID stating that he is potent and does not need to appear for the test. Thus he requested to drop the test.

Rape case: Raghaveshwara Bharati to undergo potency test
Raghaveshwara Bharati Swami, pontiff of Shivamogga district-based Ramachandrapura Mutt, would be appearing for various medical tests, including potency test, at the Victoria Hospital on Wednesday.
A notice was issued to the seer to appear for the tests by the CID sleuths who are probing the rape cases filed by two women.
The accused has been asked to be present for the tests at 9 am on Wednesday. “He has been asked to come in empty stomach for tests. The doctors in the medical board constituted in this regard will subject him to various tests,” a CID official said.
“As per the request of the CID officials, genital examination, semen analysis, papaverine test and doppler ultrasound test will be conducted on him. Through these tests, it will be determined whether he is potent or not,” sources in the Victoria Hospital said.
“As the complainant had told that she had found certain marks and moles on his body, we have been asked to examine and make note of the marks,” sources added.
Will Raghaveshwara get bail?
The HC will deliver its verdict on anticipatory bail plea in second rape case filed by a woman against the seer today. One Yakshagana artist had filed a complaint that she was sexually harassed by the seer and he had raped her in 2006 when she was staying in the math’s hostel in Hosanagar. The complaint was filed at Girinagar station which has now been transferred to CID.
