Hassan: The Government’s decision to scrap the 4 per cent reservation given to Muslims in the State is an election gimmick. If the JD (S) Government comes to power in the State, it will implement 4 per cent reservation for Muslims again, said Former Minister H. D. Revanna.

Addressing a press conference here, he said that the decision taken by the State Cabinet regarding the implementation of reservation will not be brought to force. “The BJP will lose the upcoming elections. Therefore, the last decision of this Government will not be implemented,” he added.

“The State BJP Government’s reservation decision is against social justice. The decision was taken out of political vendetta as Muslims will not vote for the BJP. He condemned the State Government’s decision to create conflicts by highlighting caste, and religion and indulging in political selfishness.
People are fed up with the corruption of the BJP Government in the State. The decision to increase the reservation has been taken with an aim to hide the anger of the people over corruption and divert the attention of the people. The BJP Government will not come to power to implement this decision. If the JD (S) Government comes to power, it will continue to provide 4 per cent reservation to Muslims again,” he said.
