Shivamogga: Vexed by the condition of the district owing to the heavy rainfalls, BJP state president BS Yeddyurappa expressed his anger at the negligence shown by the Ministers and Deputy Commissioner to the areas most affected by the rains.

BSY was at the Shivamogga Press Trust on July 21 in a face-to-face conversation with the gathering.

“Due to the heavy rains, Sorba, Sagara and other places in the Shivamogga district have been affected. More than 10,000 acres of land have been affected and the farmers are facing uncertainty. The district administration is not at all bothered about this,” he said.

“The district development has always been my priority and I have tried my level best to develop the national highway and conduct other development projects in the district,” he added.

He also alleged that the loan burden on the people has only increased under former CM Siddaramaiah and CM HD Kumaraswamy. He accused the government of not paying milk production subsidy amounts and pensions. The waiving of farm loans has not been decided, he added.

MLCs Rudregowda, Manjunath, and Suryanarayan were present.
