Mysuru: Dasara Food Committee had promised 24 different varieties of non-veg items for just Rs 149, but in reality even after six days of after inauguration of Food Mela there are no traces of this 24-variety meal plan, which has left connoisseurs disappointed.
Before the commencement of Food mela, Dasara Food Committee during media briefing at a private hotel had announced that one can have 24 varieties of non-veg food items for just Rs 149.
It is said that people who came to know of the same have been inquiring about the Rs 149 non-veg food plan at the mela venue and have are returning unhappy.
“I got to know of the same through newspapers, but there isn’t anything of that sort here at the mela. I hope that the Rs 149 non-veg food plan is made available at least for a day or two during Dasara,” said Vivek, a private company employee.
P Shivashankar, CEO, Zilla Panchayat, who is also the deputy special officer for Food Mela Sub Committee said, “Due to various reasons, we couldn’t come out with the proposed menu. But we will try our level best to provide the menu in a day or two”.
Food mela which started on October 1 will conclude on October 9. However, so far the Mela has managed to garner outstanding response. The organisers had taken all measures for quality and hygienic food. Especially during evening, there is hardly any space for parking.
