Chamarajanagara: Poachers held, car seized

Chamarajanagara: District CEN Police arrested three poachers in Edallidoddi in Hanur Taluk in the wee hours of Sunday February 20.

It is said that Manjunath, Balaraju and Joseph  were transporting flesh of wild boar to Bengaluru from Hanur. Police inspector Mahadeva Shetty, who was on the night beat stopped the speeding car. Upon checking, a country-made gun, pork, sickles, and live cartridge found in car.

The accused confessed that they poach wildboar and were selling flesh in Bengaluru, regularly. Police arrested all the three, and seized car, weapons and meat.

Hanur Police has registered a case and are investigating.
