Mysuru: In a shocking incident, a man consumed poison and ended life after his daughter in-law who went missing a month ago was found dead in a drain in Mysuru.
Rukmini (24), hailing from Sadanahalli on the outskirts of the city was married off to Puneeth from Srirangapatna, about three months ago. However, the two were not compatible with each other and hence had been having arguments. On October 27, Rukmini went missing from her husband’s house only to be found dead on Nov 1 in a storm water drain. Shocking but true, close on the heels of Rukmini’s death, her father in-law Ramesh ended life. It is said that Ramesh was repenting having married Puneeth to Rukmini and that he was already feeling guilty for ruining his son’s life.
Meanwhile, Rukmini’s brother Prathap had filed a case with the rural police stating that his sister’s death is shrouded with mystery and hence a probe must be held.
