Mysuru: In a tragic incident, a youth died on the spot after his bike hit a banyan tree in the middle of the road at Ganeshpura Village in Nanjanagudu Taluk of the District.
The deceased has been identified as 23-year-old Santhosh, son of Bellaiah of Channapatna Village in Nanjanagudu Taluk.
Santhosh died on the spot after his bike lost control and hit a branch of a banyan tree in the middle of Hediyala and Begur Main Road.
Public Works Department officials and Forest Department Officials have not cleared the trees in the middle of the road while asphalting the road and have completed the road work. The villagers had demanded that appropriate action be taken against such irresponsible officials.
A case has been registered at Hullahalli Police Station in this regard.
