Mysuru: With no justice for their son’s death even after two years, frustrated parents held a protest in front of Nanjanagudu Police Station here on Thursday February 2. Their son Praveen was returning home from the industrial area when a car driven by Deepak Jain collided with Praveen’s bike, killing him on the spot, in July 2020. Later, police investigations revealed that Deepak, a Gujarat-based businessman, was allegedly driving under the influence of drugs and the police had allegedly seized narcotics substance in his vehicle. Yet, the parents allege, that Jain was let off later, and is now absconding in Gujarat.

The parents, Sudha, a Former Town Municipal Member and her husband Mahesh condemned the police’s gross negligence in bringing their son’s culprit to book, even after two years! They are now holding a protest demanding justice for their son.

As people gathered at the Station, police have now sought one month’s time to relook into the case and appealed to them to stop the protest.
