He arrived here on Tuesday in connection with the campaign for the Legislative Council polls and told reporters that the incumbent government has not performed the guddali puja (ground breaking ceremony) for any new work in last one year.

The grant for the MLAs has become a mirage. Pointing fingers at the government of India for drought relief without spending from its treasury, increase in murders, drug mafia, menace of rowdies thanks to political support, collapsed education field and shadow boxing for the leadership shows the failures of the Congress government.

Bommai said the state’s financial condition was still worse. The budget announced works have not been inspected. In all, the state government has gone back ten years in regard to development. The construction of 9000 classrooms under the Viveka scheme, was stalled for want of funds.

Govt to fall soon

He said Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s statement that there was no Prime Minister candidate from Karnataka shows the prevailing shadow boxing for the leadership. So, the government would fall soon due to internal squabble.

The BJP-JDS combine would win 25 seats of the total 28 lok sabha seats. The ruling Congress party has to satisfy with the rest of the seats. None can stop the people from strengthening the hands of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

MP Dr Umesh Jadhav, MLAs Basavaraj Mattimadu, Dr Avinash Jadhav, BG Patil, Sashil G Namoshi, former MLA Dattatreya Patil Revur, Rajkumar Patil Telkur, BJP district president Shivaraj Patil Raddewadagi and City President Chandu Patil were present.
