Paris: Police reported that the suspect had been taken into custody following a knife attack that injured three people on Saturday at the busy Gare de Lyon railway station.
At the station, which handles both domestic and international trains, the detained man—whose nationality was withheld—began stabbing sprees at approximately 8:00 am (0700 GMT).
According to authorities, one person had major injuries while the other two only had minor ones.
“The suspect did not cry out (any religious slogans) during his attack,” a police source said. “He presented the police an Italian driving licence”.
