Belagavi: An effigy of suspended BJP leader and spokesperson Nupur Sharma was found hanging from the cables near Bashiban Dargah in the communally sensitive Fort Road on Friday June 10.
Her remarks about Prophet Muhammad have earned her a lot of criticism.
Several pro-Hindu organisations have requested police officials to remove the effigy and have demanded that the culprits must be punished.
Police informed that the effigy was hung at night and was removed in the morning when it was found. The situation is calm in the communally sensitive area.
