Bengaluru: As the term of the elected representatives has concluded, BBMP commissioner N Manjunath Prasad appointed a nodal officer for each ward of the civic body.
These nodal officers have been given the responsibility of monitoring the developmental works, responding to the grievances of the locals etc.
They will be assisted by a ward committee, which will comprise local residents’ forums, officials and the general public.
As per the order issued by the BBMP commissioner, these ward committees will meet twice a month (first and fourth Saturday) and discuss the demands of the locals and other important works.
These committees will be dissolved once a new corporator is elected.
