Udupi : Karnataka Rashtra Samiti Party(KRS) to organize a foot march from Belthangady to Bengaluru from August 26 to pressurize the government in relation to Saujanya case. The 330 km foot march will take 14 days.
Addressing a press meet held at Udupi Press Club here on Thursday, Kiran Kumar Perdoor, District President of KRS party, said that the foot march will start from Belthangady after the brief stage programme and will proceed Bengaluru Vidhan Saudha via Dharmastala.
He said that on October 19, 2012, the murder of 17 years old Saujanya was held at Belthangady of D.K. district where the accused in the case Santhosh Rao has been acquitted in the case due to proper evidence in the case. After the release of the main accused case, the many complications took place in large communities in the undivided districts. Several organizations have taken strong protests against the murder of Saujanya and to get justice for the deceased.
In order to get justice and to give awareness on such crimes not to happen in future, the KRS party has organized a foot march to the Vidhan Saudha, Bengaluru and the party will give the memorandum on the case, he said.
Sadashiva, Iqbal Kunjibettu, Rakshith Shetty Kundapura, Tajauddin, Devendra Suvarna and others were present during the press meet.
