Mangaluru: There is no guarantee that the Congress will win, there is no guarantee for the Congress, so they are giving guarantees. Congress’ guarantees go on releasing week after week like serials, said BJP State President Nalin Kumar Kateel.
Speaking to mediapersons he said that, “The Congress has not fulfilled the promises made in Rajasthan and Himachal Pradesh so far. Even the promises made earlier in State also have not been fulfilled during their five-year rule. In State, the Congress had followed a politics of appeasement in the past. When 3,000 farmers committed suicide, the Congress government did not had the capacity to compensate them”, he said.
Further he said, “The Gandhi family had fought 10 elections in the country in the name of ‘Gharibi Hatao’. Kharge, Siddaramaiah and DK’s family lived in the name of gharibi hatao. Siddaramaiah, who was a lawyer now has become crorepati. DK Shivakumar is the owner of Rs 10,000 crore property, Kharge, who came from nothing, is today the richest person with Rs 2,000 crore property, all they did this in the name of gharibi hatao”.
Questioning the Congress he said, will they give a scheme that has not been given in 60 years?, a scheme which was not given by the Siddaramaiah-led government when they had majority? “The Congress thinks that they can lie, cheat the people and get power by deceiving the people, but people are aware of their false guarantees”.
They have promised free bus service to women in the state. Let us first calculate the size of the state’s budget and first tell us how much money will be allocated for these projects. This is an unscientific promise, he said.
