Mangaluru: Congress candidate from Puttur Assembly constituency Ashok Kumar Rai Kodimbadi, accompanied by thousands of party workers, supporters and well-wishers, took out a huge procession on Wednesday April 19 and filed his nomination papers at Mini Vidhana Soudha.
Special prayers were offered at Kodimbadi Sri Mahishamardhini, Puttur Mahalingeshwara Temple and the procession was flagged off at Darbe. Thousands of Congress workers carried the party flag and marched with slogans of victory. Various art troupes, chende balaga, and Nashik band added charm to the procession.
Candidate Ashok Kumar Rai said that in the last five years of the BJP rule, the poor have been looted. “After being elected as an MLA, I will work for the welfare of all the society by providing a corruption-free administration,” he said.
