Police ASI Aithappa was attacked by accused Shamir and Niyaz.

Speaking to media UT Khader said ” We severely condemn attack on Urwa ASI by a few anti social elements. Everyone should condemn this attack on police personnel. No one should come forward to support the accused.” The Minister said that there was need to rise above politics and community attributes and act on humanitarian grounds.  “Government has taken this issue very serious. Home minister is also inquiring about this case,” he said.

On Saturday, Aithappa was visited by MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, who called the incident as an act of terrorism.
