Youngsters should develop patriotism to build secular nation: Lt.Col. Lalit

Mangaluru: “Youngsters, that too children should develop patriotism from a young age so as to build a secular nation and only NCC training would facilitate this”, opined Lt.Col. Lalit Kumar Joshi, Commanding Officer of 1 Karnataka Girls Bn NCC, Bangalore. 
 
He was speaking during the inauguration of Girls NCC unit at Nitte International School, Yelahanka, Bengaluru.  Further, he added that the main objective of NCC was to develop patriotism and service orientation among youngsters along with discipline and secularism.
 
Prof. N R Shetty, Chancellor, Central University of Karnaraka presided over the function. In his presidential address, he expressed pleasure that Girls NCC wing at Nitte International School was inaugurated on the same day when Nirmala Sitaraman, the first ever exclusive woman defence minister of India took the charge at her office.
 
1 Troop NCC Junior Wing of Nitte International School will be trained by army personnel deployed exclusively for this purpose.
 
Dr. H C Nagaraj, Principal, Nitte Meenakshi Institute of Technology; Rohit Punja, Administrator, Nitte Education Trust and Sandhya Sigh, Principal, Nitte International School were also present.
