Mangaluru: Rev. Fr. Nelson Dalmeida officially took charge as director of Sandesha on June 8. Most Rev. Dr. Henry D’Souza, the Founder Director and Chairman of Sandesha, officially handed over the charge to Fr. Nelson Dalmeida, at Sandesha Karnataka Kala Kendra, Regional Institute for Education and Communication.
At the farewell programme Bellary’s Bishop Henry D’Souza, appreciated the enormous service of outgoing director Rev. Fr. Vijay Victor Lobo and Assistant Director Br. Victor Crasta and wished them success in their future ministry. Bishop Henry D’Souza spoke about the goal and purpose of the institute and appealed to the new director to take the institute to greater heights.
Roy Castelino, the trustee of the institute welcomed the dignitaries. Daya Victor Lobo delivered a speech felicitating the outgoing director. Anil D’Cunha gave a speech felicitating the outgoing assistant director. Rev. Fr. Vijay Victor Lobo and Br. Victor Crasta thanked everyone for their valuable support and help during their tenure.
Rev. Fr. Alwyn Serrao, the principal of Padua College introduced the new director of Sandesha. Rev. Fr. Nelson Dalmeida thanked everyone for their presence and goodwill towards the institute. Vani Rajgopal, with the help of her students, presented a Bharatanatyam dance. She then gave a vote of thanks. Irene Rebello compered the programme.
Very Rev. Fr. Joseph Martis, Rector of St. Joseph Seminary and well-wishers of the institute were present on the occasion.
